BILL BAYNE

Bill Bayne is a writer, creative director and Tennessean. Originally from Memphis, he currently serves as SVP / Group Creative Director at GSD&M in Austin, where he leads creative for Goodyear, Hampton by Hilton, Tyson and Lone River. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, with a degree in history and attended Portfolio Center where he studied copywriting. Career stops include: BBDO in Atlanta (Delta Airlines and Maxfli Golf) and Rubin Postaer in Santa Monica (Acura, Honda and UCLA Athletics). He’s on his second tour of duty at GSD&M (he’s married to a Texan.) During his first stint in Austin, he worked on Pennzoil, AT&T, The American Legacy Foundation and Southwest. A passionate creative leader with a knack for new business, over the last 6 years, the agency has won 12 of the 13 new business pitches he’s led. And when he’s not making ads, Bill is either hanging with his two sons, two dogs and one wife or playing and singing with his band, The Cold Irons.
